Even though they may not live in the USA, many people still like to invest in USA companies. One of their concerns is getting scuttlebutt on companies that they are considering.

2) The information that you can get about USA companies over the internet is enormous. These sites include the official websites of the company as well as many sites run by various analysis and stockbroker sites. Many of the major companies even have websites started about them regarding negative features (labour relations, etc). For example, two of these sites regarding Wal-Mart are www.walmartwatch.com and www.walmartworkerslv.com.
3) The official information required by the SEC, particularly in the 10K reports, is very helpful.
Overall, for many countries it is possible to get more useful information to help make investing decisions on USA companies than it is on the companies in their home countries.
