Conscious Investor Knowledge Base

Where does Conscious Investor get its data?

The central database of Conscious Investor contains ten years of fundamental data and is updated every day. You can download this data as often as you like.

In Canada and the USA, we get the data from Hemscott (formerly known as CoreData Group), a leading financial data publisher that also supplies data to Microsoft Investor, Hoover?s, Quicken, SunGuard and other major financial organizations.

In Australia, our data comes from Aspect Huntley, the same data supplier that services organizations like Ninemsn, Commsec and other major financial organizations.

Occasionally, there will be slight differences between the data you see in Conscious Investor and the data supplied by other organizations. This is due to the variations in protocols of the data suppliers, particularly as to the treatment of non-recurring items and extraordinary gains and losses in the earnings per share calculations.

Around 80 percent of the fundamental data (earnings, sales, etc) is entered into the database on the day that it is released by the company.
